The manual contains 32 texts with control issues, a certain number of words and standards for evaluating reading techniques for weekly and testing in grade 1.
Reading speed is the number of words read in 1 minute. The student must read expressively, without changing the pace of reading, observing the punctuation marks, clearly pronouncing the words. After each text, control questions are given that allow you to check how consciously the student perceives what he read, as well as the standards that the teacher can use to objective assessment of students reading skills. Reading standards for classes:
class 1. At the end of the first half of the year is 15-20 words per minute. At the end of the second half of the year, 25-30 words per minute.
Grade 2. At the end of the first half of the year 35-40 words per minute. At the end of the second half of the year, 45-50 words per minute. At the end of the first half of the year 60-65 words per minute. At the end of the second half of the year 75-80 words per minute.
