A series of notebooks Unusual Mathematics for preschoolers appeared several years ago. Very soon, these workbooks were loved by children, parents and teachers.
We decided to continue this line of notebooks and make a series of notebooks Mascos for primary school students. We tried to make these notebooks not too complicated, without the most cunning olympiad tasks, but at the same time diverse and interesting.
In a notebook for children 7 years old you will find a lot of visual arithmetic tasks that are not like school. Often we give arithmetic tasks first with visual material, for example, how many beads we hid or how many sticks are not enough in the picture. We teach children to correlate dozens and units, combining dozens in full trucks, and units are incomplete. However, it would be strange to reduce all mathematics to arithmetic tasks. In our notebook you will find logical tasks and geometric puzzles, as well as tasks that have several correct solutions.
We included in this notebook tasks in which there is almost no text. Sometimes it is the small reading speed or weak skills in understanding the text that children prevent children from successfully solving mathematics problems. That is why we tried to formulate the tasks briefly and provide them with examples. In addition, we have made several tasks in which we need to correlate the text of the task and the scheme for this task. We offer a series of gradually complicated logical tasks about block diagrams and turrets that the robot builder builds, as well as a series of simple tasks with funny monsters-to the ability to use tables (It may seem to adults that this is very easy. Nevertheless, experience shows that children are not born into the light with ready -made ability to extract information from the tables) We have prepared a variety of tasks for spatial thinking - here are also familiar tasks with arrow - arrows - About the bird in the cage, and the tasks about the mouse that goes to visit, and the words that must be read when moving in the maze of letters.
In this notebook you will find a variety of tasks for coordinates, puzzles with chocolates that need to be divided into twins (into 2 parts, the same in shape and in the number of cells), as well as several tasks about the scale. Simple tasks for symmetry are gradually replaced by more cunning tasks about butterflies and about mittens. And in our notebook you will find encryptions, anagrams and puzzles, magic squares and sequences in pictures.
We hope that each of the children will be able to find mathematical tasks in this notebook that will please him.
If you want to play with the children in arithmetic games, we recommend you the notebooks “Mathematics in the first grade: playing cubes in the lesson” and “We think, we play”. You can find complex Olympiad tasks in our Olympiad series: “Mathematics Plus”, “Mathematics Dino”, “Dragon mathematics”, “Mathematics of the Zavriki”, “Panda. We play mathematics. Verbal games in notebooks “Learning to read. We play with the letters ”and the“ word -of -the -way ”
