The monograph is devoted to ideas about the time and relationship of the characters over time in the poem of the Roman writer Mark Anney Lucan "Civil War" ("Farcalia") about the war between Pompey and Caesar. It is proposed to look at these ideas as a kind of inversion of philosophy of the time of the Stoics and, in particular, the seneca of the younger. This prospect allows you to give intelligible answers to a number of questions traditionally related to the interpretation of the poem
