A collection dedicated to the memory of the largest Swedish prose writer and playwright A. Strindberg (1849-1912), whose exit is dedicated to the 170th anniversary of his birth, contains research on the most controversial and poorly understood problems in his creative heritage.
The authors strive to destroy the stereotypical perception of the writer"s works and the personality of the writer, proving that there is no and cannot be an unambiguous attitude in Russia or in Sweden, his work is read in accordance with the era, ideological and cultural priorities of society.
In addition to the work on the prose and dramatic heritage of Strindberg, articles on art and scientific hobbies of the writer, indicating the desire of Strindberg to become a "renaissance figure of the turn of the 19th-XX centuries, as well as several new translations of Strindberg texts, were included.
