The album includes sketches from books, drawings from nature, sketches of scenery and planning options made by K.S. Stanislavsky. The Moscow Art Theater Museum decided to collect these works previously known for rare and disparate publications except for specialists, in one publication and addressing it to a wide range of readers. The album not only opens another line of the talent of Stanislavsky, for many it can be a reason for a closer acquaintance with the work of an outstanding actor and director, a reformer of the Russian theater, and with the history of the Russian theater as a whole. The article preceding the publication tells about the origins of the theatrical gift of Stanislavsky and at the same time draws a portrait of this in all respects of an outstanding person
