The anti-church policy and three decades (1920s-E-1950s) oblivion of national Russian art and culture (church in their essence and their origins) led to huge losses in the minds of the Slavic peoples of the Soviet Union, to curvatures in the education of youth and youth. The last generations who remembered Orthodox Russia, who retained the feelings of patriotism, love for the Fatherland, faith in justice, have replaced the generations who think as atheists and cosmopolitans came to life. The Great Patriotic War again forced the leadership of the USSR, Russians and other fellow citizens of the Soviet Union carefully, a sober, real look to look at their rejected church heritage and overestimate its significance.

On that day, the Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR for N 3974 "0 events to preserve the architects of the Andronikov Monastery in Moscow" was signed and published. This act laid the foundation for the birth and further formation of the first in the post -war, Soviet, socialist reality to the profile, "special" museum of medieval Russian icon painting, monumental painting, applied art and architecture - in fact of church art and culture of Russia. The museum received the name of the great Russian icon painter of the Monk Andrei Rublev - the monk of the Spaso -Andronikov Monastery, glorified by many generations of his successors and millions of admirers of his work, which laid the foundation for the art of the Russian Renaissance at the end of the XIV - at the beginning of the 15th century.
