The relevance of this monograph is determined by two factors. Firstly, it is necessary to identify the value priorities of the Z generation Z. Secondly, to determine the main trends in the development of the modern generation to understand how different generations can most effectively interact with each other in the conditions of the modern educational space. All this will contribute to a deeper and more comprehensive study of the generational subject, as well as an understanding of its features caused by the realities of digital space.
The work presents an overview of generation theories in foreign and Russian studies and their influence on the transformation of the educational process. The socio-psychological and cognitive characteristics of modern applicants and students in conditions of generational change are considered. Based on the author’s research, the main features of youth - representatives of the Z generation, affecting the process of assimilation of educational programs and obtaining higher education, showed a porter of an effective teacher, and practical recommendations for improving the educational process in higher education are proposed.
