The aim of the monograph is to determine the strategic role of a higher school teacher in the development of the economy and civil society. The study was carried out as part of the project "Golden Names of Higher School" with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and the Fund of Presidential Grants in the Year of Science and Technology.
The role of the teacher is considered through the chronology of the development of a higher education system in the Russian Federation. An emphasis is on the roles and tasks of the teaching community in the context of the transformation of the traditional professional environment of higher education. Through the assessment of the achievements of university teachers, the tasks and the main results of the development of science and higher education are demonstrated. The analysis of the assessment of the achievements of teachers was carried out and strategic ways of developing the personnel potential of higher education were indicated.
