The history of various artistic directions of the twentieth century: symbolism and avant -garde, arrealism, surrealism and, of course, the Parisian school, is unthinkable without female contribution and participation.
To become an artist meant choosing a noticeable, active role model for herself, to allow the qualities of his personality to reveal in a new way. Bright heroines of this time became symbols of success in the chosen field, passed through dramatic relations with the chosen one, like Camilla Claudel or Jeanne Ebühtern, fought for their own identity, like Dora Maar, or defended proud independence, like Romain Brooks or Claude Caon. The first decades of the twentieth century were the relations and the attitude to the muses and models, who have become leading actors in the communities of the masters of the Paris School or Surrealists.
