Arkady Petrovich Gaidar (1904-1941) is a Soviet writer, author of children"s books ("Chuk and Huck", "Hot Stone", "Fourth Ducks", "Fate of the Drummer", etc), participated in the civil and Great Patriotic Wars. He dreamed of getting to the front and fight, like his father. A.P. Gaidar was only 14 years old when he became the commander of the detachment. In 1922, he was demobilized from the ranks of the Red Army.
The first work of A.P. Gaidara was published in 1925. It was the story "in the days of defeats and victories." Since 1932, the writer has been working as a special, and later military correspondent in different newspapers and magazines. Many works by A.P. Gaidara entered the school curriculum and found their readers in different countries of the world.
The story "Timur and his team" - one of the most famous works by A.P. Gaidara. Work on the book was completed on August 27, 1940, and on September 5 of the same year, the first excerpt from the story was printed in the Pioneer Pravda newspaper. And almost immediately in many corners of the Soviet Union, the Timurian detachments began to appear.
The action of the story unfolds in a small summer cottage village, where the "Secret Organization" works, which helps babies and old people, takes care of the family of military, defenders of the Motherland, fights with a local gang of hooligans and garden thieves. Boys do their good deeds secretly, not counting on gratitude and praise. The detachment is the proud and hot commissar "Timur Garayev, and the boys obey him implicitly. A.P. Gaidar was often asked the question of what the power of Timur was, why the guys obeyed his orders. "When I was 15 years old, I commanded a company.
