The book contains articles of different years written by authors on the basis of joint reflections on the structure of the plot of a work of art. The early editions of the articles included in this book were published in various scientific collections and literary magazines, but were substantially processed and complemented, and together were collected here for the first time. Articles vary on topics and material, but are united (except for the last work about the origin of the language) a single approach to understanding the plot, which is based on a cyclic relationship between paired functions.
