The Storm by Giorgione and its interpretation. The artist, the patrons, the plot

The interpretation of the two most famous and mysterious paintings by the Venetian painter Georgeon: “Thunderstorm” and “Three Philosophers” is the task that several generations of researchers tried to solve. In the book of Salvatore Settis, repeatedly reprinted and first published in Russian, the author critically analyzes the existing scientific approaches that reflect key methodological turns and conflicts in history of the 20th century.
