The space of David Borovsky

The book of the famous theater R.P. Krechetova “The space of David Borovsky” is dedicated to the life and work of the outstanding Russian scenographer and artist David Borovsky. But this is not a biography in its classic version. These are the author’s personal memories, sometimes denying strict chronology, where the analytical materials of the highest level are synthesized, and stories about personal life, family, friends of the artist.
The main place is occupied by the history of the creative and personal relationships of Borovsky and director Yu. P. Lyubimov, the book presents the huge historical layer of the existence of the Taganka theater in the general stage context of the second half of the 20th century. But Borovsky’s cooperation with other famous directors is considered, his work on dramatic and opera performances both in his homeland and abroad.
