In this collection, from the series "Anthology of Humane Pedagogy", excerpts from the works of the great philosopher of ancient Greece Plato (427-347 BC) are presented.
The outstanding thinker who stood at the origins of theoretical pedagogy formulated eternal pedagogical truths: about the place of education and training in human development, about the role of education in the life of every person and society, about the goals and methods of pedagogical activity and many others.
Plato"s works are imbued with humanism, faith in the ability of a person to realize himself. Many pedagogical works of Plato are consonant with our time: the main provisions of Platonic pedagogy make it a necessary component of any modern pedagogical system.
