The “main course of theoretical mechanics” by N. N. Bhahgolts was built on the material of lectures that have been read by the author for many years at Moscow State University. Repeatedly reprinted, the course has established itself as a good textbook for students, as well as for engineers who want to replenish and deepen their knowledge in the field of mechanics. Despite the relatively small volume of the book, all the material in it is set out with sufficient completeness and is illustrated by a number of tasks and examples. The course is divided into two parts.
