The indignation of the sign. Culture against transcendence

What unites the latest version of Sherlock Holmes and heroes of Balabanov’s films? What is the connection between the photographic archive of Zofia and the watercolor portraits of the painter and conceptualist Franco Leidy? Is there a continuity between the icon and the art of corporateants? The author gives a detailed answer to these questions, analyzing the transformations that occur in modern cultural processes. In order to remain faithful to the idea of ​​variability, the concept of a dynamic sign challenges the usual semiotic models is introduced, and thereby questioning transcendence, since the sign does not duplicate the world in this way, but turns out to be its direct agent. Everything is built around an action understood as the action of physical forces, multiple and impersonal. This allows you to interpret a wide range of phenomena, from mass performances in the modern era (revolution of 1917 and 1968) to the work of D.A. Prigova, V. Sorokin and A. Dragomchenko, in a completely unexpected way - as the movement of matter itself.
