A.M. Abramov was a student of the great Russian mathematician, academician A.N. Kolmogorov, and became the heir to Kolmogorov in the development of education. His works and thoughts were focused on the tasks of updating the content of the content at first mathematical, and then general education in all its aspects. The connection of these ideas with the understanding of historical experience and alternatives of educational policy, with the prospects for mutual reform of the school and society, is the main plot of the book.
Miros Publishing House, created by A.M. Abramov in the 1990s, became a kind of research institute of a school textbook. The author’s performances about the pseudo-reforms of the education system in the 2000s were in the center of public attention.
The book includes the works of A.M. Abramova, memories of him friends and colleagues who knew Alexander Mikhailovich in public, scientific, pedagogical, publishing, journalistic activity at different stages of life.
