The manual proposes a system of classes on the formation of communicative skills in children of a senior group with a delay in mental development. The experience of organizing correctional and speech activity, presented by the author-compiler, is based on thematic planning for the program "Preparation for the school of children with ZPR" S.G. Shevchenko (M.: School Press, 2004) and includes various types of children"s activities aimed at familiarizing preschool children with fiction and contributing to the development of all components of speech, auditory and visual perception, memory, attention, logical thinking, imagination, fine motor skills.
