The book contains a new translation of "Words about Igor"s Regiment" with detailed comments, historical and philological certificates. It made an attempt to explain the composition of the Old Russian work, the reconstruction of the chronology of Igor’s campaign and his route to the Polovtsian steppe, and the original version is given regarding the author’s personality of the Word of Igor"s Regiment. As an additional material in the book, a facsimile of the first edition of the “Words about Igor’s Regiment” and a psar copy from the Old Russian text made for Catherine II in 1795 (Catherine"s manuscript) is proposed. The book is intended for lovers of "Words about Igor’s Regiment" and everyone who is interested in ancient Russian history and culture
