The book presents about 140 drawings of the actor and artist Paul Robert (Paul Robert, 1867-1934) - a native of Switzerland, who had served the Mikhailovsky Theater in the French troupe for more than 30 years. Portrait cartridges published in the Petersburg (Petrograd) newspaper "in 1902-1917, depict famous Petersburgers - artists of St. Petersburg theaters, composers, musicians, conductors, professors of the conservative, artists, writers, lawyers, dozens of cartoons are dedicated to the vowel of the City Duma. All drawings are equipped with explanatory comments.
The book is intended for a wide range of readers who are interested in various aspects of culture and life of St. Petersburg at the beginning of the 20th century.
