"The evolution of physics" is an unusual book. The book, which, according to the authors, was written for the reader, deprived of "some specific knowledge of physics and mathematics", but "interested in physical and philosophical ideas." The book, which the authors themselves likened to a detective story, where a science acts as a detective trying to unravel the secrets of the universe.
"We did not write a physics textbook. There is no systematic presentation of elementary physical facts and theories. Our task was more likely to outline the attempts of the human mind with wide strokes to find a connection between the world of ideas and the world of phenomena, ”the authors of the book admitted. Is it because their book, with all the variety and wealth of the scientific material presented in it, still has success at the widest circle of readers around the world?
