The collection of Peter and Irene Ludwig was one of the first in the world in its composition modern American and Soviet art to each other. In this catalog, published in the martin-grip-bau exhibition, organized by the 30th anniversary of the fall of the Iron Curtain, picturesque works from the Ludwig meeting were first compared, which were created on different sides of the walls that shared two camps. This comparison shows how artists of the “Cold War” reacted to political and aesthetic challenges of time and reflected various ideas about human and society freedom.
