The name of Alexei Konstantinov, despite the scale of his personality, was practically not familiar to the viewer until the beginning of the 2000s. The atmosphere of the fight against alternative trends in Soviet art of the 1960-80s of the XX century prevented the appearance of his work at official exhibitions.
