The collective monograph "Communication of times: the history of arts in the context of symbolism" is the result of fundamental humanitarian research within the framework of the scientific project "Symbolism against the background of the history of art" (2017-2019) The work on labor was attended by leading domestic and foreign experts in the field of studying the art of new and modern times. Through the prism of symbolism, one of the dominant artistic directions of the late XIX - early XX, the authors consider changes in the principles of creative thinking in the art of the Art Nouveau, analyze the influence of this process on the further figurative searches of the XX -XXI centuries.
