This study is devoted to the study of the concept of “house” (in the German language picture of the world, it is represented by means of “Haus”) in the individual-author picture of the world of the German writer Henry Bealle. This concept is one of the universal concepts of culture, it reflects the sphere of everyday activity closest to a person, being a key spatial category and the first imprint experience of the individual, is both a complex multidimensional system of relationships and an organized and structured space that exists at three levels: psychological, social and material. The material for the study was the data of a continuous sample of text fragments of the three novels of G. Bell - “House without the owner” (“Haus Ohne Hutter”, 1954), “Billard Um Halb Zehn”, 1959), “Eyes) Clown ”(“ Ansicheines Clowns ”, 1963) - in German, vocabulary articles of the German linguistic dictionaries.
