This publication is the I volume of materials and research from the excavations of the Great Shepetovsky settlement, widely known to specialists as the annalistic Izyaslavl "(1957-1964, the hands of M.K. Karger) It contains the results of the study of three mass categories of archaeological finds - research by A. N. Kirpichnikov, dedicated to weapons, O. V. Ovsyannikov about ceramics and V. I. Tsalkin about the fauna, conducted in the 1960s. and not having lost relevance today, which introduce many thousands of archaeological materials that reflect the economic way and socio -cultural appearance of the Old Russian city of the late XII - first half of the 13th century.
