The monograph presents an author’s approach to understanding the problem of the personal development of a child with the general underdevelopment of speech. For the first time, the results of studies of domestic and foreign authors on the problem of personal development of children with speech underdevelopment are summarized in it. Data on the features of the manifestation of the general underdevelopment of speech and the dynamics of its overcome are presented. A scientifically substantiated system of personality -oriented early diagnosis and correction of general speech underdevelopment in children of younger preschool age was developed and has been tested and its effectiveness has been developed. The mechanisms, the organizational, technological and substantive components of the correctional and developmental work on the formation of the personality of children will inform us of the underdevelopment of speech.
