The central part of Irkutsk, like many other historical cities of Russia, is filled with wooden buildings, erected back in the pre -revolutionary period. She carries the memory of a truly Siberian merchant, trade and at the same time an intelligent city. This knowledge is not enough to preserve architecture. Ignoring requests of the 21st century poses its existence. For several decades, residents of Irkutsk observed the slow decay of quarter No.? 130 - a triangular site in the very center of the city with the absence of simple communications and dilapidated housing, which has great cultural and artistic value. The fate of the quarter decided the case: in 2009, it was decided to recreate the historical environment to the 350th anniversary of the city. The implementation of this project has become an example of the rapid practical embodiment of the new urban planning policy, when historical development can be not only the point of attraction of tourists, but also on top investment for small businesses
