Built in 1927, according to the project of architect Grigory Barkhin, with the participation of a famous design engineer, one of the founders of the Soviet Scientific School of the theory of reinforced concrete Arthur Loleyt, the building of the newspaper Izvestia on Pushkinskaya Square in Moscow is one of the most famous metropolitan monuments of constructivism of the second half of the 20s last century. It is symbolic that the great -grandson of Grigory Barkhin, the architect and the restorer of the architectural workshop Ginzburg Architects, to Alexei Ginzburg, was engaged in the reconstruction project. The restoration of the building, in which for many years the printing house and editors of the famous Soviet newspaper were located was completed in 2016, and now the Izvestia decorates Pushkin Square in the very form in which this building was conceived by the famous author
