The collection presents the materials of the International Scientific Conference "Symbolism and Poetics of Space in the work of Andrei Bely", which took place from December 1 to 3, 2016 in Italy in Sicily, in a mystical place that appeared to the East, to Tunisia and Egypt, Andrei White and Asi Turgeneva in 1910-1911. It is the first part of the collection that has become the creative result of this trip.
In the second part, articles are published about the symbolism of the northern capital of Russia and about the novel "Petersburg", which Bely began to write after returning to his homeland as a continuation of the East or West trilogy.
