A few architects manage to make an exhibition within their creation and devoted to this creation. “Studio 44” posted in the grandiose halls of the eastern wing of the main headquarters the exhibition about how the wing was restored, how the idea of the correct adaptation of the classical office building, the masterpiece of Carlo Rossi, to museum functions was born and embodied in the project. The additional task was to emphasize, and in places to create, the typological connection of these new and old halls with enfilads and offices of the Winter Palace and Hermitage
