Studies about art. Materials for the biography of the artist

The artist Tatyana Alekseevna Mavrina (Mavrina-Lebedeva, 1902-1996) in her youth was a member of the creative association "thirteen". She was engaged in painting and graphics, was fond of folk, decorative and applied creativity, painted sketches of scenery and costumes for theatrical performances. Created cycles of sketches dedicated to old Russian cities. A special place in her work was taken by the design of books for children. For a contribution to illustration of children"s literature, she was awarded the Hansa Award Christian Andersen. The creative talent of T. A. Mavrina manifested itself in the classroom literature. In different years, her essential books and articles on art were published, some of them have entered the real edition. The preface by the writer and literary critic Valentin Kurbatov opens the book, the section "Appendices" contains articles by Biographer T. A. Mavrina Alexander Sheludchenko and art critic Vladimir Salnikov.
