In the posthumous collection of articles of an outstanding specialist in Russian literature and culture, Doctor of Philology, Professor of St. Petersburg State University Elena Vladimirovna Dushechkina (1941–2020), her chosen works representing the scientific path of the researcher are included. The circle of interests of E.V. Dushechkina was extremely wide: from the features of building a narrative in ancient Russian chronicles to the language and images of pioneering songs, from Lomonosov’s odic topic to problems of modern mass culture. E.V. Dushechkina was the discoverer of a number of topics in philological science and cultural studies: she was the first to pay attention to the genres of calendar literature, described the festive cycles and rituals of the townspeople, turned toomastics in a new way, showing the connection of name for naming with the literary process.
