In the 1880s, in the "Petersburg newspaper", the literary magazine Fragments and other periodicals, short humorous stories, "Little things signed by A. Chekhont were published. Behind this and other pseudonyms, checking his wit in public and receiving fees, was Anton Pavlovich Chekhov.
A few years later Anton Pavlovich wrote the worldly famous plays and novels, having established himself as a significant playwright and prose writer. However, the writer won the attention and love of the general public with his stories, of which more than five hundred were created.
