The Razadan stadium is located in the central part of Yerevan in the canyon of the Razdan River and is one of the largest buildings of the architecture of Armenian modernism. The opening of the stadium took place in May 1971. Its construction was completed in a record 18 months. The authors of the stadium are the architects of Koryun Akopyan and Gurgen Mushegeyan and the designer Edward Tosunyan, as well as his chief builders P. Tumanyan and A. Minasyan in 1974 were awarded the State Prize of the Armenian SSR in the field of urban planning. The stadium is entirely built of reinforced concrete structures and is an example of an organic combination of architecture and natural environment, it is very simple and logical in its solution, its shape and design are united. At the beginning of the 21st century, the stadium was reconstructed, as a result of which the number of spectator places decreased. Over the past decade, the stadium has not been operated. Today I will give a restoration
