In the collective monograph "Sociocultural and linguistic -subject aspects of modern word -formation processes", prepared by the employees of the Department of the Modern Russian Language and the General Linguistics of the National Research of the Nizhny Novgorod State University named after N.I. Lobachevsky, a description of word -formation processes in the Russian language at the beginning of the XXI century in the sociocultural and linguistic and practical aspects is proposed. The numerous facts of media and advertising word -making considered the problems of the word -formation development of new borrowings by the Russian language consciousness, the political and game components of media word -making, methods of speech influence with the participation of neoplasms, and the sociocultural specifics of the dictionaries of new words are characterized.
