The manual presents materials on the study of arbitrary regulation of cognitive activity among senior preschoolers and primary schoolchildren with ZPR based on the results of differentiated study of the readiness of this category of children for schooling their special educational needs in terms of targeted work on the formation of self -regulation skills. The program of correctional and developmental work is presented, including on the one hand, the external organization of the environment aimed at developing the leading activity of the child, on the other, special classes on the formation of the ability of conscious self -regulation. Methodological recommendations for organizing group classes of a psychologist are given that take into account the level of formation of conscious regulation of cognitive activity, recommendations to teachers to carry out individual and differentiated approaches to students, and recommendations to parents. The theoretical and methodological material of the manual can be used in the preparation and prejudice of psychologists and teachers, it will be useful to students of pedagogical, psychological, defectology faculties of pedagogical universities.
