Karl Cherni (1791-1857) is primarily known as the author of a huge number of studies and exercises for piano. They reflected the aesthetic aspirations of the ink-composer and instructive installations of the ink-pedagogue. This collection includes selected sketches from opus 261, 821, 599, 139, 829, 849, 335, 636, edited by the German musicologist and teacher Henry Hermper (1837-1913)
