The alphabet of the school library is the fruit of the collective work of the school librarians of Zelenodolsk (which is in Tatarstan) Thanks to Tatyana Yuryevna Dryzhova and the Khakass colleagues from the Khakass Republican Children"s Library, who inspired us for this exciting work.
When they made it up, it was thought about how many different knowledge includes this term - "School Library" and how largely we, school librarians, should understand. Not just to have some kind of superficial representation, but to know very well and delve into everything enough.
This "All" concerns primarily the book: book science, literary criticism, work with educational literature. This is library activity in all absolutely aspects, all areas of work, the whole variety of its forms, methods, because for the school librarian there is no concept of "division of labor". As a rule, he works alone in the library, which means that he does everything himself: he complies, catalogs, systematizes, informs, draws up, performs certificates and requests, draws lists, advises, recommends, conducts lessons, plans, reports, and therefore orders, and therefore , performs the functions of a bibliographer, operator, psychologist, teacher, teacher, artist, designer, lecturer, screenwriter, director, leading, methodologist, etc.
School specificity is added to all this: training funds, raids, safety, Federal State Educational Standard, Extracurricular activities, lessons, federal textbooks, regional order, endless reports, extensions, textbooks, an electronic fund of textbooks ...
