The monograph analyzed the research of the environment for the development of personality in pedagogical and psychological science, an environmental approach to the examination, design and organization of personality -developing educational environments is presented. The methodological arsenal of expert and design management of the development of the school environment developed by the author is given. The results of analytical and empirical studies of the school environment conducted by the author for 20 years are discussed, examples of the design of school environments are presented. The results of the experimental rating of schools based on the inclusion of environmental indicators in the assessment of the quality of education are analyzed. Programs for the formation of expert-design and communicative competencies of teachers and heads of school organizations, the formation of professional expert communities for consulting support for the development of school environments are given.
