The publication was prepared for an exhibition dedicated to the work of the outstanding Flemish painter of the 17th century Jacob Yordans (1593-1678), the first large -scale exposition of the works of the master in Russia. The exhibition is organized by the State Hermitage in St. Petersburg and the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin in Moscow. It shows nineteen paintings and thirty -one drawings from the collections of the State Hermitage, the Estaculation of A.S. Pushkin, as well as the Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts, the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum, the Perm State Art Gallery, as well as the picture of Yordans from the Trinity Cathedral of the Alexander Nevsky Lavra.
