Russian journalism: evolution of ideas and forms

Journalism at all times reflected the current ideas for the development of society, responded to the challenges of its era. A significant contribution to the formation of the history and theory of journalism was made by the Leningrad/St. Petersburg School of Journalism. In 1946, a journalism department, which became the leading training center for professional journalists and journalism researchers, was opened at the Faculty of Philology of LSU. The Department of History of Journalism laid the foundation for the formation of historical and journalistic science.
The proposed collection of scientific articles, in which traditional and new research approaches were connected, is dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Department of History of Journalism of St. Petersburg State University
