The training manual discusses issues related to the methodological development of Russian literary criticism of the 1900-1960s. At the same time, special attention is paid not only to academic schools and their recognized leaders, but also by the immovable concepts, as well as unfairly forgotten researchers. The authors compare and analyze different, sometimes incompatible scientific attitudes. Such a strategy is designed to contribute to the free self -determination of future literary critics.
