Joseph Redyard Kipling (1865-1936) - English writer, poet, first Englishman who received the Nobel Prize in literature (1907) "for observation, vivid fantasy, maturity of ideas and an outstanding talent of the narrator." Kipling was born in India, and at the age of 5, his parents sent him to study in England. For the boy, these were difficult years - the mistress of the private boarding house, where he lived, did not treat him well. But in the same years, he fell in love with reading. A little later, while studying at a private Devonian school, Redjard will begin to write. Father was so impressed by his stories that he helped his son find the work of a journalist in the editorial office of the "Civil and Military newspaper". In 1882, Kipling returns to India. He works as a journalist, writes short stories and poems, travels a lot.
Redjard Kipling wrote many wonderful fairy tales, their main characters - people and animals - coexist as absolutely equal residents of one planet.
