Restaurant "Zarafshan" in Tashkent is a large -scale complex built in the 1970s - early 1980s in the center of the main walking boulevard of the city. Under one roof of this building, many various establishments, banquet halls and shady terraces were collected. In architectural forms and solutions of interiors, architects Vladimir Spivak and Rustam Memetov combined the traditional with acute modern, which made the complex the most popular place of rest in the whole city and the unconditional masterpiece of Soviet modernism. The main distinguishing feature was the two -Soviet courtyard, in which even today you can hide from the noise of the promenade seething with life. Snow -white laconicism of external volumes shared the grille of the pergool of the bypass gallery, and a large -scale painting with an abstract image of the Zarafshan river rinked around the building around the perimeter.
