Despite the obvious importance of approaches and methods of comparative studies in education, they did not always receive due attention. This book is a new significant contribution to the development and revision of the prevailing traditions in this area. An important feature of the book is the choice of various units of analysis: it compares different countries, education systems, era, culture, values, politics, programs, etc. Particular attention is paid to the role of approach to the same topics at different angles of vision.
The publication is addressed not only to specialists involved in comparative research, but also to everyone who wants to better understand the subject and values of this research field.
