The monograph reveals the idea of representing images as a systemic structural basis for constructing mentality, a special position of the mother’s image in the hierarchical system of the figurative sphere of a person is justified, and ideas about his dynamics in Russian mentality are supplemented. The image of the mother is considered as a complex mental phenomenon, which is represented by the projection of the value-semantic and qualitative characteristics of maternal behavior and worldview, presented at the perceptual, conceptual and amodal levels of the hierarchically given reflection system. The results of a study of the substantial fullness of the mother’s image are presented, the sexual age features are considered, the “socially oriented” and “family -oriented” models of the representation of the mother’s image in Russian mentality are described.
