Regional variety of architecture of Russian Baroque

The object of the study is the architecture of the Russian province in the Baroque era. A detailed historiography of the topic with a critical review of historical, local history and art history works of predecessors from the 18th century to the present day has been stated. The problem of existence in the Russian province of regional Baroque schools (North, Vyatka, Volga region, Urals and Siberia) was posed. On the basis of a wide range of objects, an analysis was carried out in these regions of stable compositional and decorative features that make up local architecture schools, the peculiarity of the style of each of them. The role of merchants as the main contingent of customers is disclosed.
The data and conclusions contained in the book can be used for in-depth study of the history of all domestic architecture of that time, modern architectural and restoration practice, taking into account regional specifics
