The textbook is intended for children with disabilities and ensures the implementation of the requirements of the adapted basic general education program in the subject area "Language and speech practice" in accordance with the Federal State Educational Standard of the Education of Students with Intellectual Disorders.
The main orientation of the textbook material is in the future formation and improvement of the skill of conscious reading.
The solution of this problem is carried out by a gradual increase in the volume of texts, the use, along with artistic works of popular science articles of various content, introducing a book of tasks into the methodological apparatus aimed at developing verbal-logical thinking, recreating imagination, communicative skills.
The texts, exercises, questions and tasks proposed in the textbook are selected and compiled taking into account the psychophysiological characteristics of students with intellectual disorders.
At the end of the second part of the textbook, methodological pages are placed
