Hoffmann Modest Ludwigovich - literary critic and poet. Since 1920, Hoffmann has been working in the Pushkin House. In 1922, he went on a business trip to France with the aim of buying the Onegin Museum and did not return to his homeland. The works of Hoffmann are dedicated to Ch. arr. Pushkin and poets of his era. G. develops in them a biography, textology, the history of the creation of works, having the ultimate goal of the psychology of creativity, the question of `transformation of life into aesthetic phenomenon`. Of the books of Hoffmann, his `Pushkin` is especially known (` the first chapter of the science of Pushkin`), which is an audit of the textual principles of guns.
